Kibo Safari Camp lies within the Amboseli National Reserve with splendid views of majestic Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest mountain.

Amboseli, meaning “salty dust” in maa, the language of the Maasai, is a place of stark contrast. The park provides the classic Hollywood image of Africa. Set in rolling savannah scenery the park is dwarfed by the presence of the pink-tinged, snow-capped peak of Mount Kilimanjaro.

Kibo is special. This lovely gem nestled in the Amboseli National Park caters for the traveller who wants to enjoy nature in all its fullness. There are tents as well as lodge rooms which give you a sense that you are in the wild-and still with all the proper necessities one needs e.g. hot water, mosquito nets and every tent has a veranda outside that faces Africa’s highest mountain. Was referred to the place by their Facebook page that has adequate information and I have to admit, my time there was nothing but lovely. I enjoyed the food too as well as their highly refreshing swimming pool.

Kibo Safari Camp has 73 self-contained tents for single, double, triple and family accommodation. The beds have been custom designed and locally made using bush logs and will ensure a good night’s sleep! All tents have flush toilets, showers, and wash basins. You can enjoy your shower as you like: bubbling hot or refreshing cold. For the duration of your stay in the African bush, Kibo Safari Camp will be your home away from home!
